Kentucky

For Christmas 2011, I traveled down to Georgetown KY, to see my uncle Ulrich.
I spent a few days alone with him and his wife, exploring the area surrounding Georgetown, taking pictures and navigating with the canoe on the river.
Waiting for my dad and brothers to come on the 26th of December, joining in for another few days in Kentucky, before we headed back to my home, Lincoln NE.
We had a really neat time down there in the south, chasing waterfalls, talking, going to Chick-fil-A, and just spending time together.
Thank you everyone for this blessed time, I enjoyed it so much.

A small waterfall near the pond, on a nice Christmas day

Another small waterfall, thank you Uloo for showing me how to use the polarizer and how to deal with long exposures, had much fun figuring all that out.

What a nice Sunset at the pond. Had a very different Christmas, but what a neat one.

Waterfalls aren't they beautiful, this is one of the many in Red River Gorge

What people do just to get a great view or picture... But it was totally worth it.

Please Dad do not fall, we all know how much you hate swimming... = )

Jet lagging? Florian I told you you shouldn't sleep in the plane, that's what you get for not listening ; )

Petra?! What the heck were you doing?

Funny Burkhalter youth

I have to admit it... you really have a nice hat.
